October 14, 2016.- During this week the GAINN Action has been presented at the “11th GreenPort Congress” held in Venice from the 12nd till 14th October.
The 11th GreenPort Congress has highlighted the innovations in equipment and technology to allow port users to adhere to policy, whilst illustrating practical solutions through case studies from the global port community.
Eva Pérez, coordinator of GAINN4MOS, participated in the session “Port infrastructure for alternative fuels and maritime transport” chaired by Panayiotis Mitrou, Lloyds Register. This session was focussed on the following themes: regulatory framework for LNG infrastructures; risk assessment and mitigation measures; authorizations and permitting; market analysis and engineering studies; financial instruments to support port installations; operational skills and training needs.
In this context, Eva Pérez presented the results of the LNG as marine fuel market analysis carried out by Fundación Valenciaport and an overview of the GAINN4MOS and GAINN4SHIP INNOVATION projects, including the main objectives and engineering studies and pilots that will be carried out during the projects duration.
The event was a great opportunity to discuss with many LNG stakeholders about the trends in this market.
