October 20, 2016.- Last week Eva Pérez, the general coordinator of the GAINN projects, participated in the second workshop organised by the Poseidon Med project. This workshop was titled “Common strategies to promote LNG as maritime and road transport fuel in Mediterranean Countries” and it was held at the Port Authority of Venice.
The workshop, which was opened by Antonio Revedin, Director of Strategic Planning and Development of the Port Authority of Venice, included a session about “LNG investments in the port of Venice for maritime and road transport” presented by James Orlandi, Head of R&D Unit and Paolo Menegazzo, Strategic Planning and Development Department of the Port Authority of Venice. Following this session, an exchange of experiences between the projects that are being developed to foster the use of LNG as marine fuel within the EU CEF Programme was organized. During this part of the workshop, Eva Pérez presented an overview of the GAINN4MOS and GAINN4SHIP INNOVATION projects, George Polychroniou, Project Coordinator of Poseidon Med, presented the project objectives, activities and current situation, and Fernando Impuesto, Technical and Commercial Director at Enagas, introduced CoreLNG as Hive project.
Two parallel sessions were organised in order to discuss about the technical and commercial aspects of the LNG as a marine fuel.
The session was closed by Sandro Bisello, Director of Venice Newport Container and Logistics.
